About Designer Glass Sydney

Designer Glass Sydney quotes and installs glass for homes across Sydney and up to about 50 km out. That means glass pool fences, balustrades for balconies, decks and stairs, and custom pieces such as splashbacks, shower screens and mirrors. We explain the rules behind each job before you commit to anything.

Most of the glass we deal with is a safety barrier first and a good-looking one second. A pool fence has to meet AS 1926.1. A balcony or stair balustrade has to meet the National Construction Code. We start every job from the rule that applies and work back to the design, so nothing gets made that won’t pass.

What we do

Pool fencing is the bulk of it. We fit frameless glass on spigots or in a channel, semi-frameless glass between slim aluminium posts, and glass gates. For people who’d rather install it themselves, there are DIY kits.

Glass balustrades go on balconies, decks and stairs, fixed with spigots, a channel or standoffs depending on the structure. The custom glass side covers kitchen splashbacks, frameless shower screens and mirrors cut to size.

How we quote

A quote from us lists the glass, the fixing system and the hardware grade separately, along with gates, removal of any old fence, and anything about site access that adds labour. That way you can line it up against another quote and see where the difference is. Our guides cover cost, the NSW rules and the frameless or semi-frameless choice in more depth, with the source and date for every figure.

Where we work

Sydney and surrounds, up to about 50 km from the CBD. That takes in the Northern Beaches, the North Shore and upper North Shore, the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner West, St George, the Sutherland Shire, the Hills District, Parramatta and the west, and the South West.

The easiest way to start is the quote form. Tell us what you’re planning and where, and we’ll come back to you.

About the pictures

The images on this site are illustrations of typical glass products and styles. They aren’t photos of particular jobs.

Tell us about the job

Rough sizes, the suburb and what the glass is fixing into are enough to start. Someone who installs glass in Sydney will get back to you to talk it through.
